I have to say them in my Dramatic Interpretation for Forensics this year, and I don't have a clue as to what they sound like.

Good dictionaries have phonetic or phonemic transcriptions for pronunciation. But if you find that a little difficult, try this: (caps are for stress)

Tchaikovsky =

chi think of chi-na

KOFF think of cough

ski think of ski-ing

chi-KOFF-ski

idiosyncracies =

idio think of idiot without 't'

SIN think of doing a bad thing

cra think of crash without 'sh'

seas think of many seas

idio-SIN-cra-seas

It might be worth checking out the IPA and learning how to use phonetics to help your pronunciation. I hope this helps anyway! Good luck!

Go to www.m-w.com
Type in the word, hit enter, then hit the little red speaker button. It will pronounce it for you.
Both words are there, I looked.
