Leo L has the idea. If you live in Louisiana like myself 1/2:12 will do the job on a single slope roof. If you have any snowfall, 4:12, or steeper.
The thing to remember is that a shallow pitch also absorbs more sunlight, degrading the roofing material faster, and increasing heat build-up inside your shed.

Check with your local building dept. Codes vary by region and climate. A roof in Vermont will need to carry more weight(snow) than one in Arizona.
