I really don't know anything about the trucking industry, but it appears the company doesn't care about its drivers. If there was a written agreement to your schedule and they didn't honor it, I guess you could file some sort of grievance. But if you signed an agreement, stating that you understand they can at any time, treat you like sh^t, then I'm afraid there's not much you can do. That's too bad. I hope they change their minds, or you get another job. Hang in there!

There are tons of trucking companies that do not care one bit about the people driving the truck. Scumbags! Been driving for 5 years, now and will not put up with the crap. Truck drivers are human beings with a life to live. I would have never waited 20 hours for anyone! Keep your license clean and you should not have a problem ever getting a job. Many dispatchers are lying wastes of human flesh, but they also have a boss to answer to. Welcome to truck driving 101. This industry needs a big kick in the butt. There are some good companies out there, though. You are better off not working for those lying weasel jerks.

My dad is a truck driver and he got a written agreement from the company saying that they would have him home every weekend. The company he was with before would keep him running non stop for up to 5 weeks at a time before he could finally get a load going home. If you have no agreement with the company they can send you where ever they want. If you turned down a load just because you wanted to go home they have every right to fire you and report their truck stolen.

I think if I was in your position I would have quite that job unless I really loved it that much. I think that who ever this dispathcher is needs to justify his position and if he told you that he would have you home on that friday and if you were past time on your log the company needs to take the heat on this decesion. As for as the truck being stolen is concerned, No D/A in their right mind would even consider contplating any charges because you didn't steal the truck. Tell the employment agency your side on the story and let them help you find a better job. Good luck!!

Go back and put some punctuation in this mess. I tried to figure out what you were asking but couldn't get heads or tails of it. There is a marvelous little dot, called a period. Some people like to end their sentences with these little dots.
