It depends. If there is a God, then there may be a purpose of life, and there may not be.

But if there is no God, there will be no purpose of life. Life doesn't happen because of a purpose, it happens because of a cause.

I've asked myself this question over and over. While I struggle to accept there is the God of any religion, I have a feeling that Nature ( the whole cosmos, seen or unseen) has determined everything already and we are just acting a script.

Even what is determined by our free will is part of this script, and all the laws of physics and nature, original materials, natural selection, randomness and calculations are following this great cosmic play. Sometimes I wonder how things and knowledge are hidden from us until we make a discovery. Unknowns are out there regardless of our knowledge of them.

Our purpose in life? I think is nothing but just live.

To determine your question we need to know the origin of mankind. The answer obviously does not lie with the concept of evolution - we are too complex, and our physical life lies with the DNA sequence. How can male and female seperate what is necessary for their own life, to form another? How many tries could they have?

The only manner by which mankind could have come into existence is by the will of a Creator, obviously superior to mankind. What was the condition of the original lives first created? That will give us an idea of why we are here.

The first parents lived in a "garden" that required them to do as they wished. In the evening they would communicate with their Creator. They would be alive yet today if they had not sought to be like God in wisdom in a manner that had already condemned. Their enemy was Satan, who induced them rebel against God. Because of their acts, death entered into the world of mankind. What also entered in to mankind's world was an abundance of wisdom. Mankind did recieve what God said would happen. We were given wisdom.

The problem with the wisdom we have been given, is that we don't know what to do with it. Mankind does not have the moral values to use wisdom correctly - abortion - lies about evolution - killing innocent people, etc.

The conclusion becomes this: we need someone to oversee humanity. This shall be done when Jesus Christ returns to earth as King. In the meantime, our lives need a basis for how we live presently. This is found by reading your Bible and asking God for help. I would suggest reading the book of St. John - in the New Testament, all the way through in order to understand what we should do at present.

I believe the primary purpose of humanity in the present day is to continue to move away from the influence of race spirits (to include spirits of nationalism) and toward a universal brotherhood based on selfless love of our fellow man. Life's purpose, via the law of rebirth and consequence, is to teach us what is truly important so that we may internalize the law of God. I believe the fastest and best way to accomplish these things is to embrace the teachings of Christ Jesus.

Our purpose in life is whatever you want to make of it. Don't let others tell you otherwise and force you to conform to their ideas. The trouble always is that it is very difficult to figure out what your purpose is for yourself, and most of us just let other people decide for them, rather than search and find their own purpose.

a global purpose is for all of us to get along with one another.
Then everyone has their own personal purpose.
And only God can tell you what it is.
that still small voice that speaks to you and tells you of things that you know are bigger than you or a challenge.
As you walk towards it,purpose is being revealed.
