Lorraine is a region in France (Marie-Antoinette resided here). The name Lorraine means someone "born or from the region of Lorraine". I know its not as exciting as a name that has some deep meaning, but you may want to look up more info about the region of Lorraine. You may find some intersting info. My maiden name is Ohrel. My grandpa did an in-depth family history search. It turns out our ancestors were from France -- which we knew -- and were royalty from a French provence named Ohrel -- which we didn't know!
As for your last name....
Yanick is a variation of Yannick, which is also of French origin... Variant of John (Hebrew) "the Lord is gracious."

Lorraine is French region, from queen Laura.

Yanick seems to be of Slavic origin, something diminutive from Yan (John) - "little John". Your English version of the name may be shortened also. Many Slavic languages exist, but "Yanick" seems me more similar with Polish or Slovak. In Polish it would be written "Janik" (like Interior Minister of Poland). This word may indicate some Slavic origin of you, but not necessarily. Because names of people of many ethnicities, e.g. in tsarist Russia were written translated from other languages or these people were simply given Slavic names at the passport office.
