my boyfriends mom thinks i am weird because i dont like that many kinds of food and because i dont talk much 2 her and my boyfriends step dad !!!!!!!!!!! what should i do ????????

I was extremely shy growing up, but then I got better and now I won't shut up LOL!! Also, when I was growing up, my mother couldn't afford lots of things and different kinds of foods, so we ate pretty much the same things. Now that I'm 23, people find it really weird that I haven't tried certain kinds of food.
