What is a printer that also has a scanner called? How do I look for one? Do you know where I can find 1 cheap?

its called an all-in-one

you can get one cheap at any of the office supply stores...they've gotten very inexpensive over the last few years

They are called AIO's or all-in-ones. If you don't plan on using it constantly, the HP C3180 or C4180 are bran new on the market and should be around $100. If their is a Best Buy near you, that would be the best place to go since Wal-Mart printers are made cheaply and don't come with ink like the ones at Best Buy do. HP is really the brand you want to look for. If they don't have the models I mentioned (they just released them) try looking for the HP 1510.

They are sometimes called 2 in 1 or printer combos. I have seen them in Walmart for about 70 bucks

Mine is a Lexmark X2350, and it's a scanner, copier, and printer that we got from Wal-Mart for under a hundred.

A good place to find them cheap (if it is in your state) is Fry's Electronics, they have very good prices on everything I have needed so far. If you don't have Fry's, maybe try Coscto or Sam's and if you don't have those either then just find any office supply store or any online dealers (maybe www.newegg.com or www.bizrate.com would have some)

BTW, These all-in-one devices save desktop space but if one of the fuctions dies, you could loose all the functions. I am not a fan of them. They do all functions ok but none very well.
