I am looking to goto Phily in December but was wondering is a week long enough to view this place, or is it too long?

As for my personal choices? Hmmm, December. Well the PA Ballet does the Nutcracker every year. The Xmas light show at Wanamaker's ( Now turning into Macy's) Dept. store is a Must see!
There are tours to all the historic stuff downtown and the Duck tour vehicles actually travel down the Delaware riverfront on the water (they are amphibious). The The Gallery is a large shoping mall downtown worth visting as is City Hall. Snow has not been a big problem lately most Decembers, by the airport does have delays at times. If staying a week a side trip to Valley Forge National Park
to see where Washington and the boys camped would be good (about 26 mi. west). Also if you have some cash a trip to Atlantic City to gamble at the 12 Casinos or see a show is a good side trip as well.( 60 mi east with tour bus, NJ transit train, and of course the expressway drive to get there.)

There is tons to do there:

The Liberty Bell
Independence Hall
Fireman's Hall Museum
Franklin Court
Ghost Tour of Philadelphia
Franklin Institute Science Museum
Brandywine Battlefield Park
Barns-Brinton House - restored 18residence and tavern featuring reenactments of Colonial era domestic life in the Brandywine Valley
Franklin Court

Philadelphia is full of history and you would have plenty to do for a week. Also, there are beaches that are near there (maybe 1/2 in car).

Go to China town it was really interesting I went there last summer. It is really culturally diverse there. You can also go to Dave and Busters which is the best Dave and Busters I have been too. It has food and games there. But after 9:00 anyone under 21 has to be accompanied by someone 25 and older which was weird. But I love Philadelphia!

you'd have to sloooowllly drag things out, I think 1 week could be too much time. However, if you want to see a sports game there (eagles, ncaa, flyers, 76ers.... etc) go visit various neighborhoods to eat (Genardi's/some other place for philly cheese steaks) and the dowtown is completely devoted to liberty hall, liberty bell, place where they signed the constitution & when you're all done... well you still have 3 days, sorry unless you party, you might wanna lower it to 5 days or find 1 thing you're in love with & do that.
