I refer to attachments I receive via email from excel, etc

You need to save the attachment to your desktop first. When you open them and they only open with quickview, then close that down. Right click on the attachment file, select "open with" then choose the appropriate program, and make sure you check the "always open with this program" box at the bottom. Then you should be able to print using the original program the file was created with.
