I once had a pimple that I popped and the same thing happened to me.The lumpy redness is most likely infection. I used hydrogen peroxide at first and that seemed to make it worse. A friend of mine who is a nurse told me to keep it clean with soap and water and to let it air out. The puffiness and redness went away after a few days.

someone told me, lemon juice on a cotton ball, and leave it on there for 10 mins, im not sure if it works though
