Does anyone know a way for me get noticed with my music?

I play guitar and sing, and i think i have talent for a 14 year old, but my parents think i am too young to get gigs, so i am wantin' to find a way to get noticed through music. Please Help!!!!!!

Talent shows at school. Sing at church. Record yourself and post it on a website. Try daytime gigs like playing at a day care or after school program or teaching littler kids to play guitar.
Sing at parties with your friends. sing for adults parties (like the parties your parents go to). Of course you are too young to sing in bars and clubs so find coffeehouses and stuff.

I'm no musician, believe me, but I love music. I read about people who make music all the time. I read that Jewel had an old VW bus when she first started, and about 200 bucks from her mom, and she went to Columbia Record Studio, and stood out in front of the entrance, and played and sang, finally the day she was gonna go back home, an executive heard her as he walked in the door, and signed her. That was her break, she was 17 if I remember right. Turns out they screwed her pretty bad financially, but when she got HUGE, she sued them and got a big chunk of her money. Oh certain!!! the eye-catching tunes of different horns of autos, the soothing sound of the trains, the excellent beats we hear even as the shape workers are operating tirelessly and continuously banging the hammer on the walls, the hymns of the persons who commence their day by using scuffling with with fellow human beings, the sound of the line dogs going wild even as a stone is thrown at him by using some one and such eye-catching song created by using different factors in nature have a lengthy-lasting impression on me!!! :P heavily speaking that is what I frequently get to take heed to! yet, some circumstances, even as i'm holidaying at a a lot quieter position, on the point of nature, i'm attending to journey the beauty of nature!! The chirping of the birds, the flowing water making a competent brilliant sound, the sound of the rain drops, the sound of the clouds accumulating, the sounds of the insects at evening time and such sounds which certainly make us sense on the point of mom nature!!! those thoughts are transforming into uncommon and subsequently their value have more beneficial manifold. when you turn 17, join the Army Band and you will have the chance to try out for "Pershing's Own" and perform for the White House.
