well levitation does exist wiht a scientific explanation. Levitation can exist with an electromagnetic field repulsing an object at center gravity. Also, at supercooled substances, viscosity is limitless and is actually not affected by gravity therefore it may levitate when on a charged surface

There is usually a form of support that is not shown to the audience, like a wire or stand of some sort. The performer will show that there is no support by waving something around in front of the support or in areas that are not in the way of the support.
Criss Angel doesn't count, as he is a tv illusionist that does his biggest tricks for "plants" (people who are in on it) like the elephant vanish or walking on water, where they can edit and do other studio trickery to make things look fine on tv, like they do on movies when people fly doing kungfu and the wires are removed in post production.
I saw one episode where he "turned a manequin into a live woman", and during the next show that was on the same channel, that same woman was a model on a commercial.

do you know what levitation means? You probably understand it to be what most people think it is, but the definitoin of 'levitate' actually is something quite different. it includes the word 'illusion'. by saying that you are 'levitating' you admit to not really floating, but doing so illusively. wires, stands.. y ou'd be surprised what a good performer can pull off in front of your eyes!

visual tricks. The only form of levitation known to man is magnetic, using opposing magnetic polarities. Anything else is a visual trick.
