The original trilogy was an amazing breakthrough in movie technology for its time, and they have a legacy that will continue to live on through the ages. The story was lovely, new, and kept you on the edge of your seat, plus it had talented, unknown actors and fun supporting roles.
Unfortunately, the newer three movies have not been done so well, and the only thing worth mentioning in the third episode were the effects.
George Lucas, get some screenwriting lessons.

Star Wars was fantasy. Star Trek was/is sci-fi. I prefer Trek, which has been around for 40 years now.

I LOVED the first 3, however I was also what like 7 yrs old?? The last 3 I hated - but Im realizing it's a guy thing. My husband, brother-in-law and all the other guys I know LOVED them - haven't met a girl who liked them yet.

It's got some of the best Special Effects, and in my opinion it beats star trek.

if you like hardcore science fiction then star wars is a big joke, if not then yeah its alright, still Little flighty and non scientific. like Disney with blasters.

Is it really nessesary to ask? of coarse it is. Let me gess someone you admire and respect told you star wars was stupid so know you are wondering. whoever it is telling you this they are wrong it is time to stop admireing and respecting them.
