Hawaii, I'm not reading the books until all seven are out. I refuse to be one of these gibbering lunatics clawing at the walls waiting for the next "fix" - I will start once I am able to reach a definite ending, and consume them all in one hungry happy weekend.
For the original poster: my favorite movie was #3, because it seemed to focus less on setting and more on plot (though IMO a heavy focus on setting was entirely acceptable for the first movie, since I know I'd be totally overwhelmed by the new sights if I were a first-time visitor to a wizards' school). And it was also just the little touches that you hadn't seen up until then - blinds drawing and brooms sweeping without any hands behind them. And that the professors are able to cast spells without speaking - just to reinforce (yet again?) that they've got power the kids are still dreaming of attaining.
(Yes, I have been watching the movies without reading the books. I am rather fond of this philosophy in all things, since except for the rare gem like Sin City, the movies are always inferior.)

I think all of them have been absoultely wonderful. I can't stop watching them all in order all the time. I remember going to the very first world premiere screening of Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone. I remember the dialogue to all of the movies by heart and I would have to say The Goblet of Fire was absolutley amazing. I can't wait until The Order of The Pheonix is done filming since it has started last June and I have kept in touch with the cast on how it has been going and all they could say was, you're going to love it. I don't have a favorite, but they are all equal in greatness. I am also looking forward to the 7th book being released since I have spent much time devoted to reading the book series. The Half-Blood Prince was brilliant and every turn of the page was a thrill. I have been to each and every world premiere screening of the movies and I can't wait until Pheonix and Prince hit the screens. I'll be there for the premieres with a sense of excitement and I can't wait to hear the familiar Hedwig's Theme when the Warner Bro's Logo appears on the screen followed by Harry Potter (Title) in the magnificent letters. You've got to love it. Bloody hell you better love it.

Movie? Read the books! They get better as they go along. but if you really don't like to read (like my little brother) then the best movie is most likely Prisoner Of Azkadand (Spelling LOL). The thing about this movie is that they pay attention to almost every little detail! They slip in the other movies.
