Is there a website that has links to very old websites?

Question

I want to compare websites of the early 90's to today's. Anyone know of a site with a bunch of old sites listed?
(This is why I hated the Internet in High School. Poor design and bad interfaces. Three years later, the internet has come a long way, and I actually enjoy the net now!)

Places like http://www.archive.org/index.php give some sites, but there's no guarantee all the links work
