I have sprained by ankle several times and each time it gets worse, so I started to do some ankle excercises to strengthen it. They work, always wear a shoe that helps to support your ankle. You should be able to find some ankle exercises online.

Go to a physical therapist. S/he will give you exercises to perform that will help strengthen the muscle without overdoing it and injuring it again.
