I just treated my pond because of the excess algae, all the debris from this has fallen to the bottom of the pond, and the filters aren't getting rid of it. Is there something like a hoover I can use to suck it up?

You can get a "vacuum" that hooks up to your hose. People use them in their pools. Check your local pool supply store or Home Depot.

Use a siphon from a pet store, the type you use for cleaning a regular aquarium.

yes you can hire a pond vac from some pet shops which are quite effective, if your local pet shop do not have one they should be able to put you in touch with one that does.
