Get a cat for sure!!! Go to your local animal shelter and pick up an adult cat (as they are the last to get adopted) and you will never have mice again...I have 4 cats and I live in northern ontario canada there is ALOT of mice here but I have never even had one in my house ever!! ha ha my neighbours do though cause they dont have cats!! By getting a cat instead of trapping the mice or using poison ( they can crawl back into the wall after dying and stink it up after eating the poison) you will be saving the life of a deserving feline and humanely controlling the population of mice in your building and also just having a cat discourages mice from entering you house in the first place. And...mouse traps and poison dont keep your feet warm at night or reduce your level of stress or lengthen your lifespan like a cat does!!!

Are you scared of them? If not, glue traps work but you'll have to check them every day and sometimes they get caught and are still alive so you may have to pick them up and take them to the trash. But they work!!! We had mice this year because of construction near our apartment building and the glue traps work great. You can get them all Wal-Mart for like 3 dollars. That's the best advice I have.

write up a complaint
and you actually could go complain to the government
that the apartment your staying at is unclean
and that disease infestid animals are in the building
management will have to take care of it
and if they dont they will get fined
and probably go out of buisness

First put your complaint in writing addressed to the manager and keep and copy for yourself. Document dates ,times and names of any you have contacted about the problem and their solution (if any). Finally if they do not correct the issue.

By law, they are required as for it is a health violation. Try calling the Housing Authority and/or better buisness bureau?
OR Catch them in a trap, and find his car....the rest, well thats up to you.

Call the housing authority. They will make sure your landlord keeps your apartment up to code.

if you don't want them, trap them humanily, then sell them to the local pet store. If you put a cage up, with food in it, they'll go for it, and then make a couple of extra $$ off of them.

buy some mousetraps -- they're cheap -- wedge a chunk of a
peanut on the trigger and but a dab of peanut butter over that.
works really well.

complain to the local council that your landlord is not forfilling their duties regarding this matter. But first tell your landlord of your intentions if he doesn't buckup his act. Then act!
