i need your help
what if you go some where on the internet and it says
page can not be displayed
and i tried all the directions and it didn't work
what do i do???

close the page or tab (depending on your browser) and start over.

When my internet does that, I turn off my computer, unplug the internet wire for 10 seconds to reset everything, plug the wire back in & turn the computer back on. It usually works for me. If you have a router it works the same way except for you unplug the wire in the router instead of the modem. If this doesn't help, I would call your internet provider. I know comcast has 24 hr. free customer assistance and they can always get to the bottom of things. So I'm sure every internet provider has the same kind of information line.

The internet address that you are searching is either invalid or you have entered it incorrectly. Some websites require that you enter the www at the begining, some do not. Try both of these options.
Another alternative use a search engine to search for the specific name of the website. Try going to google and typing in the website address as you remember it or keywords relevant only to that website.

Double check the spelling of the link. If it's a site you've been to before and you know it exists, it could be under maintenance or your server could be the problem. Sometimes my server temporarily goes down and it does that. I just wait a while and it works.
If none of that works, then the website might not exist anymore.

Check to see if you are getting the problem with other websites also. If it does, then there could be a problem with the internet connection. If it's only with 1 website, it could be a problem at their end.

check to see if you still have an internet connection. Or try another page. The site might be down...

there can be several reasons for "page can not be displayed".
1) your Internet server is down. in such case wait for server to be fast. refresh site.
2) you may be living in such a country where that particular site is banned.
3) there is too much traffic on that particular site. in such case wait and refresh.

It has nothing to do with you or your browser.. the site is down or you probably have the website name wrong. If you are sure the name is correct.. then all that means is that the site is down on there end.
