My son is 4months 2 weeks old, we're in the same boat!! There is another short growth spurt at this stage, keep in mind he should be sleeping approx. 17-21 hours per day. As far as the food...try one food for several days (don't mix it up), see if there's a reaction, then after that period of time switch to a different food and see what happens. If he starts to cough it might be an allergic reaction, this might make his throat swell. Enjoy

Take him to the dr. He is too young to be on solids and may be having an allergic reaction. My daughter has a tendency to rub food into her eyes when eating so watch out for that too. But you should really take him off the solids for another couple months.

my bet is like someone else said.....pink eye....it is pretty common regardless you should ask your doctor not us idiots here....
p.s. apples and bananas are not vegitables as a matter of fact all they really are is sugar and you are introducing sugar to your child at a very early age. talk to your doctor, but i think you should hold off on the fruits for a while because all they are is sugar and why does a baby need sugar, also read the lables on the other foods you buy many of them contain sugar or corn syrup....once again why does a baby need all the sugar......

Maybe an eyelash is irritating his eye? Or if it's both of them, could be pinkeye if he's in daycare. It could also be something in the air. Did you dust or vacuum around him recently? It could be any number of things. If it continues, you should probably take him to his pediatrician.

It's quite possible that your little guy has seasonal allergies. Check with his pediatrician and she should have some great suggestions for you.

Honestly, it could be a number of things. you need to take the baby to the doctor. it could be an allergy to the foods, or maybe hayfever (seasonal allergies).
