If they can put a man on the moon or into space, why is it whenever I have to lick an envelope at the bank when I`m paying my bills, the glue leaves a bad taste in my mouth all day ? Make it taste like candy or beer or something I like. WHY ?!

Becasue if they tasted good we'd all be walking around with paper cuts on our tongues from incessant envelope licking.

They do. I've often licked ones that taste like mint flavored. What you have to realize, is that even though it would probably cost a fraction of a cent per envelope, with millions of envelopes that would add up and cut into the bottom line of their profits. Banks are into business to make you feel good or put a nice taste in your mouth. They are in business to take your money and use it in whatever way they see fit and make themselves and thier shareholders even more money and profit. Once you deposit your money into the bank its all on paper anyway. If every single person in the country went to the bank to withdraw all their money in cash form it wouldn't even be possible, there wouldn't be enough cash to go around not even close.

There are two logical reasons:
1. Whoever manufactures envelopes does not want to spend extra money.
2. They don't want kids licking the envelopes, then eating the envelope, thinking it's candy.

Juniper is damaging, yet not as undesirable because of the fact the different names on you record. If I have been in center college i might tease this baby. think of a legal expert or a company woman with the call Pollyanna. Scout - like it! ultimately a outstanding call. Because of the formulation of the glue... why don't you just spit on your finger and then wet the envelope? just a thought. Best wishes

A lot of people have a damp sponge system at their desks if they have and incredible amount of envelopes to send. Try that.

I agree, those envelopes are horrible. Try wetting a sponge and use that to seal your envelopes...

Don't lick them. You can spread a drop of water with your finger, too. If you want to lick, buy lollipops or icecream. Just an idea..... :)))

thats why i pay my bills from home and use a wet cloth to close my envelopes ;)
