Human beings were created eons ago by an elder race of alien life forms to serve as soldiers and servants. Eventually the humans rose up and carved a swath of destruction through the galaxy destroying their creators. They ruled much of the known universe for a considerable time as overlords until coming into contact with an even more advanced species that annihilated the humans in retribution for their harsh rule. However, being an advanced and enlightened civilation they sought a way to give humanity a chance to redeem itself so they settled the remainder of the human species on an obscure planet on the fringes of the universe. Their hope was that humanity would rise above its petty and warlike ways to become a peaceful, just civilization. They check on us from time to time and we freak out because we have forgotten why we were placed here. HA HA, hope you liked my little story, don't steal my idea either or I will sue for intellectual property theft. That's my FICTIONAL book idea, not yours : )

Despite what the religious will tell you, Evolution is for the most part a fact. And the bit about man and ape sharing a common ancestor is clearly obvious to anyone who spends a few years researching evolution. It can literally take years to understand the proof, but the proof is there.

Religion on the other hand, will point you to a few sentences in a book to explain their answer.

Truth takes years to discover. Faith, takes seconds.

Faith is the path of least resistance.

Read Darwin's book. It was the basis for all of the scientific study of the beginning of life on earth. The process by which the living things that are on earth now came about is far to complicated to describe here, but it's accepted by scientists all over the world.
If you want to stick to the idea of someone waving a magic wand, and bingo! there it is. That's okay too. But, to me that hocus-pocus stuff doesn't go very far.

I agree with 100kiehere, you came from a random meeting of one egg with one of a million spermazoa..... A process dating back millions of years via evolution.

And the thing about science, is that its open to new ideas and theories as more evidence is found....its not a closed system. If we always went with the 'creationist' side of things, we'd still be living in a flat earth society....
