am doing this experiment and i need to test for CO in cigarette smoke, can anyone plz help me.

Carbon monoxide is not Earth chemistry to me.

The last two times I did this, I put one of my kittens in a plastic bag and blew smoke into it until it died. I stopped when I was reminded that maybe they died because it was the lack of oxygen from their own breathing (creating excessive carbon dioxide).
