I had a similar problem before my friend Sanjeeb came to my rescue (picture attached in source file). The answer to your problem is anti-kitty landmines. Specially calibrated to detonate only upon cat-like paw prints treading on their dainty detonation plates, they should leave your Bull mastiff totally untouched. Generally they perform better in conjunction with MkII Anti-Kitty Claymores configured in a classic crossfire, perhaps disguised with Petunia leaves with a faint soundtrack of the Aristocats playing in the background. One word of caution however, we don't want more Heather McCartney's wandering around so make sure that no-one else treads upon your new "Killing Fields". If you have a few cats wandering around, your back garden could soon resemble the Somme, but I wish you well.

Apparently, half filling a clear plastic bottle with water and leaving it laying in the flower beds works....I think its something to do with reflections making them feel uneasy...Goodness knows where I read that...I must get out more...really!

I've got a dog so I've never tried it but I'm sure I read somewhere that this works

Lion poo from the Zoo. The smell makes them think that there is a bigger cat in the garden and scares tham off!

There is a product called Bitter Apple that they sell at pet stores. I know it works on dogs. You can read the label to see if it works on cats. Hey, it's worth a shot.
