It REALLY depends if the screenwriter, director and star can pull off a good job. For example, "The Hulk" had a good director, and possibly a good star, but a plot that went nowhere and a film that was drowned in too much CGI.

Like any adaptation, they are only as good as the original source material. So I have seen varying results.
Some of the movies that have come from "graphic novels," which to me are just longer comic books, have actually been quite good. I'm thinking of "V for Vendetta," "Road to Perdition," etc. as some of the good ones.
But there are also bad ones, like Superman 2, 3, 8, 12, whatever, and some of the Batman movies. Sequels are usually awful, with Spider-man 2 being an exception. I'm reserving comment about the current Super-flick until I see it.

Yes, I think comic book movies are some of the best movies made.

Lol Yes!! I love all comic book movies even if they're bad... I just like the fake feel to them like some superhero is going to come save the planet.

Done right they are. It's just hard to come up with a movie that makes both movie goers and comic readers happy.

Sin city is a great movie
i liked the f4
spiderman is good too i don´t like dc adaptations Batman and superman, and was dissapointed by xmen

yeah i think theyre awesome because its like my childhood all over again. theyre all just so fun to watch even if they suck. but they rarely suck.
batman begins was my fav of them all.
