how can global terror be totally eradicated?

if a doctor were to operate for cancer,wouldn't he remove the entire malignancy?

Terror has spread throughout the world as a tool for those ruthless enough to use it to obtain their ends. It is always rationalized as the end justifying the means. Like trying to control a cancer that has metastasized, you can never eradicate terror.

I think the first thing to do is to eradicate all nuclear weapons, starting with the US and Israel because they already have used them in the past. All other countries must also disarm. Mankind doesn't have the wisdom to play with nuclear weapons. Period. But I doubt that global terror can be totally eliminated until we all agree to learn more about other cultures, understand their belief systems, and commit seriously to global peace... If all of us, and I mean, ALL stood up for peace and refused to have anything to do with the ones who wage war, then these warmongers would have to go and fight their wars all by themselves. I doubt very much that they would.... Let's never forget that only a small bunch of rich people is ruling the world already. We are billions on this planet who could say no, like this American soldier who refused to go back to Iraq. All militaries should follow his example, about any unjust war, in any part of the world. This young man is a hero. Unfortunately, I don't see anything like this happening any time soon... One thing we can do is to speak up for peace. The more of us, the more effective it will be. Stop the US support of the Israeli opression of Palestinians. This is the MAJOR reason why the Islamic world despises us. We talk out of both sides of our mouth: supporting the Taliban when they were against the Soviets. Now that the Soviets are our 'friends' we blow off the Taliban, giving rise to more anti-american anger.

There is NO WAR ON TERRORISM. This is a ruse to pump more money into the defense industry that, without enemies, suffers financially.

The only terrorists are in the White House.

It will never be eradicated. There has been fighting since the beginning of time and it will continue until the end of time. The ironic thing is, most fighting is done over religious issues. One group trying to run another........it is a vicious cycle.

If every government in the world went to war against terror, it would cease to exist. But some governments secretly support it. Until the entire world fights it, it will never go away.

The more people have to loose, the more they want to prevent loosing it. I had an economics teacher that used to say, if you want to eliminate Terror, give everyone a Wash Machine and a VCR. People that have nothing are more willing to die for what they beleive is a cause, especially if they are told theire families will have once they are gone. Eliminate poverty and you eliminate Terrorism.

terror will never be eradicated. there will always be people that hate us. it's not a cancer, it's a view of different ways of handling situations. terrorism is bad, but to other countries, we are the largest terrorist country on the planet. we see it otherwise.

Wow! When you find out, let us know! I guess it can be totally eradicated when there are no people anywhere in the world who are unhappy or unsatisfied or full of hate. When do you suppose that can happen?
