why is law and order special victims unit so popular to millions of ppl to watch yet when a sexual offender moves into your neighborhood you try to make them move out? The show depicts the same ppl living in your neighborhood.

Cuz they do live in my neighborhood - they live in yours too. They live everywhere. Even if they don't live there chances are they are coming there to work, pick up kids, do their dry cleaning, shop for groceries, go skiing, go to amusment park, go to fair, go to bar...etc etc etc.

The show is popular because it depicts real life. And, like any TV show it captures our attention.

SVU is so popular because it depicts real life and has interesting storylines with great actors. It's just an awesome show!!! Before you judge the show why don't you watch it for yourself!!!

Because the shows usually end up with the sex offenders dead or in jail - the way we wish it was in real life.

Love SVU.... Mariska Hargitay is my favotite actress.. i wish i should be extra like her Chris Meloni lives interior of a similar city as me.... and that i comprehend him..... yet i love Vincent extra on television

Thats deep. I believe people like to try and do teh right thing, but once they are in teh position to be affected by it, they get scared, and act like little b**ches.
