Who says that love is stronger? I've always heard it said that they're opposites, which would mean (to me anyway) that they're the same strength but opposite feelings.

There is more hate in the world because this world was built upon hate. Although love is the much stronger feeling, only a small portion of the world actually has the courage, will, and spirit to actually love someone.

Because not a lot of people know how to love. Very few people in the world actually experience real and true love. Some are just afraid of being in love because love comes with risks, they'd rather stay with somthing easier to deal with. Hate. Hate is all anger destruction, something most people can do.

Love is definately stronger than hate. I shall give u an example: -
Imagine a white paper with a black spot on it. white represents love and the black is the hate. At the first look anybody would look at the black spot on the white paper instead of appreciating how white is the paper.
The same goes with love and hate. There is love everywhere, the only thing is that hate is what we apparently see and neglect the love around us.

I am not sure there's more hate. Maybe it's simply that hate makes the news (killings, wars, ....) and love doesn't, e.g. marriages, births, kisses, anything really.
And talking about public displays of hate, some of these actions are the result of a strong love for something, like a country, a religion, ... Not that this is justifiable, but it's the flip side of the coin.

I think that there is because people find it too difficult to take the time to love others. As hate is so much easier to come by people tend to use that emotion first. Why are people so cruel [sigh]

they are equal...there is not more of either. The world is always balanced. 50/50 love hate, the problem is that hate causes more damage, or is easier to see. Thats why you think there is more of it, but really it's only becuase it's easier to spot.
