It was just after the last housing bubble burst... I had never seen housing drop so much before (other then the great depression). It is similar to now, with one big exception. then unemployment was a lot bigger problem back in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
In California and probably most of the country, we are at the top end of the huge growth in the housing market. That doesn't mean it won't continue to grow, but there is a risk of a price correction in the short term. This shouldn't be a problem if you decide to stay in the house for a longer period.

1992 and it was a townhouse not a house. I wish I could afford to buy a house I miss having a fence in back yard. If I could I would like to own a townhouse with a fence in back yard.
