John Lock, the creator of federalism, says that the sole purpose of the government is to benefit the people, and if the government does not benefit the people, it is our duty to overthrow it. So, since the government doesnt benefit us, isn't it our duty to assassinate congress, the president, etc.

Yes, it is our duty to assassinate congress, this government is only going down hill, it is no longer what the founding fathers intended it to be.
What way is there to overthrow a government, other than to assassinate its leaders? You can't expect our votes to do anything. And that non-violent protest is even more useless.

Jeese Lee Harvey stay out of the library of congress. We get a chance to overthrow the government every two years when we vote for Congressmen and Senators.

It's John "Locke."
And how did you arrive at the conclusion that government doesn't benefit you (compared with the absence of government)? Your premise seems wrong.

Not in the U.S. We don't use violence to change our leaders no matter how crappy they are.
And they *are* crappy, no doubt. They ought to all be fired. They only work part time, earn far too much money, and are not held accountable for most of their actions.
But the way to change our government is by peaceful activism and full voter participation!

Yeah, don't know where your logic is, it is our duty to vote. That is what they mean by overthrow. You can talk to your senators and congressmen about issues too...

Overthrow does not equal KILL, you moron.
Buy yourself a dictionary, take your anti-depressants, and call it a day.
You are an unworthy contribution to the gene pool.
