Talk to your doctor about how much weight you can safely lose, and what exercises are good for a pregnant woman.

Did your doctor say you needed to lose weight? NOW? Unless your doc said so, you're absolutely not to go on a diet. Instead, focus on better eating choices, not on how much you actually are eating or how little. Drink loads of water, get your folic acid, take naps, walk or do water aerobics or yoga or all three to not just help get or stay fit but to help with the smoother delivery that is a benefit of being healthy from good nutrition and exercise. Dieting starts the growth of your baby, both within and without your womb, off to a poor start. To keep your energy up, break your 3 meals a day down to 6 smaller meals so that there isn't such a spikey rise and fall in your blood sugar. Fruits, veggies, whole grains, proteins. Lay off the sugar, caffeine, fat (we all know when what we're eating is a poor choice). More sensible eating will also help alleviate or head off pregnancy constipation (a typical result when you increase your iron uptake). Be fair....your growing baby needs nutrients, not a weight-loss diet.

It is never a good idea to 'diet' while pregnant. Eat healthy, lean meat, chicken, fresh veggies, fruit. Eat in moderation, and eat when you are hungry. If you eat smaller portions more often during the day, you will probably consume less calories than stuffing yourself 3 times a day.

If you also choose to get more activity into your daily routine. Such as parking the car at the spot farthest from the grocery strore, and walking your empty cart back inside when you are done shopping you have just increased your activity. Also plan on nightly walks around the block each night. I don't care how tired you are, or whats on t.v. take your walk. You will feel better about yourself.

You should also plan on doing stretches, including cat crawls, this will increase your abdomine muscles along with your back muscles. Strengthening these muscles will make the gowing tummy less painful on your back.

Dont forget the Keegle's.

Don't think about loosing weight, think about eating healthy - and get moving.

Talk to your doctor. You don't want to compromise your baby's health or your own during your pregnancy. If you are in the obese category your doctor can help you with a diet plan that will provide plenty of nutrition and help you come out in better shape after your pregnancy.

You probably don't want to hear it, but if you are not obese to where it causes pregnancy risk, now is not the time to lose weight. Just eat right and excercise, make yourself the heathyest possible so you have plenty of energy when the baby comes.

Think about losing weight AFTER the baby comes. Unless you started off your pregnancy very overweight (to the point of threatening your health, endangering your baby, or making the pregnancy risky), and a doctor recommended it, I don't think it's a good idea to try losing weight. You are SUPPOSED to gain weight now. Keep your diet healthy and within bounds (contrary to popular belief, you should NOT eat for 2), exercise moderately every day (walking is good), and you should not gain excessively. Then lose the extra weight after the baby comes.

Breastfeeding worked wonders for me in helping me lose the pudge I gained during pregnancy. I also cut out fatty foods and junk foods and increased my activity.

Um- your pregnant, no you don't need to lose weight and you shouldn't. If you don't have an OBGYN, or if your underage call your nearest family planning agency, NOW. The number will be in the phone book. And for the sake of your baby, stop trying to lose weight. God bless and watch over you.

Now is not the time. Just be sensible - eat lots of veggies and fruit and take a walk every day. You can lose it after the baby, but don't expect to wear your skinny jeans right away. Above all else, don't be selfish - you are creating another human being and that should be your first priorirty. Besides, after the baby is born everyone will be staring at her or him, not you.

Well if your looking at losing a lot of weight, i suggest you dont. You need to gain about 20-30 pounds during your pregnancy to keep you baby healthy. Ask yourself whats more important being a little hefty for 9 months or a beautiful healthy baby?!

Do you need to lose weight because you want to "hide" the pregnancy? By the way you asked the question you seem like a very naive teenager who got into a jam and now wants to prolong her parents finding out for as long as possible. Any mature adult would not ask such a question, but instead would talk to their doctor about what would be most logical at this point in time.

I believe as long as you eat healthy and keep active for nine months you will probably have no problem after the baby is born. Exercise only if your doctor says you can. During my pregnancy I walked 2 miles every day and after the baby was born I bounced right back to 125pounds in one month. During my pregnancy I eat better then when I wasn't pregnant because I wanted my baby to have only things that were healthy I ate no fast food that is probably what did it.
