As mentioned above, properly hydrating yourself while you drink will help considerably. Have like one glass of water in between drinks. This is because alcohol messes with your system by causes whatever water in your system to go your bladders quicker, which causes people to urinate more and get dehydrated quickly.

In the morning, you'll probably want to have a breakfast of egg whites, slightly burnt toast, and some kind of sports drink.
The egg whites contain protein and the burnt toast contain carbon(the more burnt the more carbon), both of which will help your body process the alcohol out of your body. The sports drink will help rehydrate you with water, potassium and sodium.

Drinking coffee might temporally make you feel better but will speed up your dehydration and in the end make you feel worse.

Aspirin will help whatever headache symptoms there are, but won't cure much anything.

As always drinking in moderation will always help. Know how much your body weight and age can handle, and try not to go overboard

Hope that helps

Hangovers are caused because alcohol dehydrates your body and basically drys your brain out. Try drinking a glass of water between every alcohol drink, then a couple of aspirin with a glass or water or an Alka-Seltzer before bed. You'll never have another hangover...

I think sleep is the only way to really get rid of a hangover....other than that try to rehydrate (water or Gatorade), take an asprin to ease pain, and a multivitamin to replace nutrients you lost while drinking. I usually take the asprin and vitamin when I go to sleep the night before and it's really helped me the next day. I think once you get it only time will take it away. Good luck!

A hangover is a result of dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids preferably without alcohol (!) or caffeine. Consider something like Pedia-light type drinks given to children to prevent dehydration. They taste foul but will help restore your system more quickly.

Drink plenty of water before you go to sleep, as alcohol will dehydrate you. This would be of no help if you drink to the point of passing out; of course, a little moderation will go a long way.

My two favorite cures:
greasy meal
eat an egg

I like to combine the two by eating a greasy fried egg. I swear by these cures.

Also for preventative measures, I hear that one glass of water before you pass out is equal to two glasses the next morning.

Make sure to drink water or gatorade before going to bed to help dehydration. You could also take pepto bismol before bed and when you wake up.

This will settle the stomache.

Before you go to bed drink a couple glasses of water or sports drink. It does the trick for me.
