Pneumonia is caused by viruses or bacteria. If you catch the germ that causes it, you'll get it. But you can't get it by taking a bath or washing your hair when you have a cold. Actually, a warm bath may make you feel a little better.

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs, generally marked by a fluid buildup in the lung sacs, and generally develops from a bronchial infection that goes untreated. Bronchitis has many of the same symptoms as a cold, and may possibly develop from having a cold, if you do not rest and recover properly. (Basically, the infection moves down from the sinuses to the bronchial tubes into the lungs.)
This is caused by a depressed immune system. Now, repeated exposure to cold temperatures can stress the body and lower the immune system - as will a lank of sleep, poor eating habits, etc. If the weather is cold, I would recommend not immediately going outside with wet hair, etc. since that will stress your system faster, but normal bathing/hair washing is NOT enough to stress the body into illness.

No it's not harmful at all to bathe or wash your hair when you have a cold. In fact being clean may make you feel better.

no actually it does not affect one health but if u live in cold climates its best to avoid a hair/head bath until u're better ..... otherwise it's not an issue ... just to be on the safer side use hot water not boiling hot and dry your hair with a towel ... keep your head wrapped for about 1/2 hr or so and if u're going out insure that u're hair's totally dry....

Nonsense. A warm bath or shower will make you feel better. Just don't sit around with your hair wet....wrap it in a dry towel, or blow it dry right away.

It would be ok, if the water is warm, or hot but not scorching.
But if due to your cold, you don't have the energy to give yourself a bath, ask someone to give you one.

Unless you have any immune system problems, you should be fine. I've always bathed when I've been sick and never had any issues.
