In some sence I think laughing to much can cause minor health problems. I say this because when a person laughs it's constantly changing muscle tension which pinches some nerves. It's not instant death obviously or we'd all be dead. Anyway pinched nerves lead to clots and in turn you get heart failure much the same as living on greasy burgers at McDonalds. So I'd say laughing is good in most cases since it helps to relax the body but the long term effects are the deadly part.

Laughing can lead to painful experiences.

In the Middle Ages, tickling was a form of torture because of the laughing that a person would undergo. Laughing blocks basic respiration, so prolonged exposure to tickling could result in asphyxiation. Laughing does not allow a person to inhale as much oxygen as needed over a period of time. Also, laughing works the abdominal muscles and other muscle groups, and the stronger the laughing, the harder those muscles work (Laughing so hard it hurts come from this).

Anything can cause a person to die, since we are somewhat fragile. So perhaps overexertion of muscular activity plus lack of oxygen and therefore diminished oxygenated blood flow from the heart could lead to someone's death. However, the odds of that happening are extremely improbable.

if your just a normal healthy person having a good time and laughing, no it cant cause death. there has to be some other issues involved, like what that user, jenn said. having a broken rib and laughing can make the rib go into your lungs, leaving you done for. 1 of my teachers said that also.

The only thing I can think of is if you laugh for a long time, you end up short of breath... so maybe death by tickling is possible to suffocate someone??
