I am not sure..they got PJ Brown's soon to be expiring contract..but Ben Wallace's contract was very overpaid. Chandler was somewhat underperforming but showing some promise.

I think the bulls will be a playoff team again...but what do you have them seeded? I think probably #5

This was a good move on the Bulls part. Yes, I agree that they overpaid on Ben Wallace. But the payoff will be worth it. Especially when you consider how durable he is. In the last seven years he has played in no fewer than 73 games of an 82 game season. Five of those years he played in 80. When you think about players such as McGrady, Jermaine O'Neal, Grant Hill, you're lucky to see those guys on the court considering their recent battles with injuries. And they're making big dollars as well. Chicago knows Big Ben will earn his money.

As for Chandler, he has shown little in the way of promise. This past season he couldn't duplicate the success he had from the year before. And if we're going to talk about salaries, this is a guy who was overpaid. By moving him, Chicago frees up $50 million in cap space. This will help in the Wallace signing and also give them flexibility down the road.

Furthermore, PJ Brown will make $8 million this year but he will also come off the books at the end of the season. This will enable the Bulls to continue to have the resources to attract good players. Chicago is now a nice mix of youth and experience, instead of being the Baby Bulls which was constant for so many years.

He might want to help grab extra rebounds on offense yet Ben Wallace in not an offensive participant. Larry Brown tried that in Detroit, it worked for a lengthy time period becasue the different communities were forced to guard all 5 pistons and did not truly have a probability to double crew gamers like Rip and Billups. even if, the bulls are literally not as deep because the pistons were less than larry borwn 3 years in the past so Ben's presence can not be truly felt on offense

On a roster the team looks to be improved but we will have to wait and see when they start playing basketball. Just because you have the best player on your team, doesn't mean that your team will kick *** all year long. Not all players will stay healthy and play the whole 48 mins during the game.

I don't think that they will be as good as the Bulls were with Michael Jordan in the 1990s.
