My best friend just got a $2300 in the mail from a British Lottery company or something like that...she cashed the check at a check cashing place...and they are saying she won $65,000 other dollars...this screams SCAM to me, but she has the cash in her pocket...any one hear of something like this?

she hasn't calle d them yet...she is so happy and has already spent like $1000, what do Ido...she cashed the check at a beer store....

yes, its a scam.
the check will bounce and she will have to pay it back to the bank. they are probably saying she has to send some money to pay taxes so she can get the remaining $65,000, right?

Did she play the lottery? Is there a British lottery? I don't know but you don't get something for nothing..I'm sorry but it does sound like a scam I hope not for your friends sake .she will have to pay the money back if it is I fear.

Just tell ur friend not to spend the money. If the check bounces she can repay the bank. In a few years if nothing happens, more power to her. Meanwhile she can reap the benefits of the interest collected.
