Italy, first off they have the best defender in Europe on their side (Cannavaro). Its seem almost impossible to get past that guy because he can read the play so well and is so quick and agile.
If by some miracle France gets by Cannavaro they still have to contend with Buffon in net, the highest paid and said to presently be the best goalie in the world... That solid defence is hard to penetrate.
Italy runs a tight ship, they also are a fast team. They have a lot of amazing forwards and mid-fielders that all are more then capable of scoring goals.
I think Italy has a lot more riding professionally and personally on winning the cup, their perseverance will see them through.
