The Dark Side of the Moon [Pink Floyd]
it has songs that are great. plus The Dark Side of the Moon deals conceptually with the pressures of modern life that can drive normal human beings to insanity: materialism, the increased pace of life and travel, the encroachment of old age and death, the inhumanities of society and armed conflict. These themes are not just delivered with words, but are suggested with sounds and lyrics. yep this is my favorite album. ^_^

"Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" By Derek and the Dominos. I know you don't like my answer. Too bad.
This album has stood the test of time. It's a journey from blues to rock and back, stopping at every point along the way. Eric Clapton and Duane Allman: each thought the other was the best guitarist he had ever heard, and each was nervous to meet the other. It really comes through on "Keep on Growin'", but this is the kind of album that you listen to all the way through. The kind that just makes me want to stop everything else that I'm doing and just listen.

My Favorite is Aja by Steely dan, there are few albums ever that are so clean and beautiful as this. Every song sounds like you are sitting right there listening to it while they play for you, I've never heard a better engineered album in my life. It also doesn't hurt that Donald Fagen has the best voice ever....

I have two...
Blink-182's Greatest Hits cd---I can listen to every song on it, which I can't do with most Cd's. Also I have always loved Blink-182 but now I can listen to some of my favorite songs on one CD.
AFI's new album "Decemberunderground”---I can listen to this one all the way through, they have several awesome songs on this album such as Prelude 12/21,Miss Murder, and The Killing Lights. I also think that they have matured a lot since their punk rock days, but haven't lest it all behind.

Marianne Faithfull: 20th Century Blues
A couple of years ago I listened to it through almost every day, often many times. Yet I never got bored with it.
The album is versatile, sad, funny, bold - all at the same time.

U2 Joshua Tree.
Not that U2 is my favorite band but the album had so many great songs. And it was significant at that time in my life. With or Without you, I had just broken up with a long time boyfriend.

Favorite is Kiss Alive! because it features Kiss' best stuff, played while they were young and in their prime. Its the grand daddy of double live albums.
