I'm sure there are thousands of "ugly" species going extinct daily, but most animal rights organizations only seem to be interested in saving the fluffy ones, or maybe the occasional fish.

da-lux: Good point. I'd forgotten about that. And of course, there's the small matter of them preferring to euthanize animals rather than opening more no-kill shelters...(don't believe me? check their budget)

PETA is a bunch of self gratifying whack jobs who think they are doing good so it pleases themselves.

Id have more respect for an orginization called PETH. who treat the homeless in this country rather than worrying about goddamn baby seals!!!!!!!!!!

An animal that isn't cute needs rescuing? Are you insane? Only the pretty things are important!

Have you not looked at most PETA members? Many of the women try their hardest to dress up and look pretty themselves. Not eating meat is just their way of being skinny.

Like look at Sugar*Cane. I'm assuming she's a PETAian, and in her picture she'd rather show off her cleavage and look like a skanky whore than do anything worth mentioning.

Look, these are the same people who would rather save a dolphin miles away than help a homeless person on their own street. Their priorities are already skewed. I should say, in general, society's priorities are skewed.

I'm in PETA and we're for the ethical treament, not for the saving of cute animals...if you're an animal and you're being mistreated we're up your ***..cute or "ugly"

It might be that they say that they protect all kinds of animals, but for some reason you don't seem to hear about protesting on the behalf of snakes and spiders.

Cockroaches, rats, mice, mosquitoes, flies, etc. Peta does not represent them because they have no advertising value nor do they raise the sentiment that furry cute creatures do.

I don`t think they care all that much about the cute ones either.

They spend less than 1% of their budget helping them.

Your full of crap girly!! It's just your imagination... Why don't you take a look firsthand at exactly what PETA does and then ask an educated question, rather than assuming some stupid crap like you've done...

LOL you are quite correct I used to work in the lobster industry and if you think Chickens have it bad you should see how lobsters are kept and packed LIVE and cramped before shipping.
