looking for an agent to get me the opportunity to write magazine articles or be an agony aunt etc... any one have any ideas?

You usually don't need an agent to write articles, and most literary agents don't want to deal with small pieces because the money is too low for the work they have to put in.

You best bet is to read copies of the magazines you think you want to write for, look up the editor's name in the masthead, and send them a sample of your writing, or something you've written on spec.
Read all the fine print on the masthead, they often have instructions for unsolicited contributions.
