“‘Overpopulation’ a Myth?”
“Amazing as it may seem, the entire population of the world can be housed in the U.S. state of Texas,” reports Vitality magazine. According to the article, the current United Nations estimate of the world’s population is about six billion people, and Texas has a land area of some 262,000 square miles [680,000 sq km]. The amount of living space per person would therefore be more than 1,217 square feet [113 sq m]. “A family of 5 would thus occupy more than 6,085 square feet [565 sq m] of living space. Even in Texas, that’s a mansion,” says Vitality. “Meanwhile, the rest of the world would be completely empty, available for all of mankind’s agricultural, manufacturing, educational, and recreational activities!”
And don't forget that in the united states, with our relatively small population (that's in comparison with the billions of people in China, India, and other asian countries; we only have 299,150,921 people living here.) has most people living in concentrated areas and big cities. Take new york for example. People literally live on top of each other. But in Phoenix, were I live, law prevents us from building up, so we build outwards, making Phoenix the biggest city, in regards to land area, in the U.S. The point however is that people live mainly in cities. I mean take a look at a coverage map from a major cell phone company. Do you see any major coverage for states like Idaho or North Dakota. Not really. There is plenty of room left in many states. Plenty. I just don't see how we could fill it up in even 10 more generations. It's vast. Think about it.

In my opinion, this is a technicality question. On one hand, you have a vast expanse of land from sea to shining sea. So much land it takes more than a week to drive from coast to coast. But the population centers are quite different in this country. On one hand, you have California. 1 in 8 Americans live in California. The cities are over-flowing with people. Then the East Coast. Huge cities lining our coast from Maine down to the tip of Florida, pushing as far west as the Mississippi River. Our coasts are truly filling up rather fast, if not on the brink of overpopulation already. Then consider our economic instability. The auto industry has taken severe blows from foreign competitors, crippling the US job market. We have more people immigrating in every 2 hours than we have dying off in a week. (Look at the Border Patrol escapades) Yes, we have lots of land. But very little usable land, such as Canada. The land has remained untouched for a reason. No one wants it. So I suppose it truly is which side of the glass you're looking through.

Not quite. Some areas of the country are more crowded than others. If Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas start filling up, then I'll be concerned.

Not at all. See this statistic on population density:

The US is #168 on this graph, slightly less dense than Liberia.
Here is the population density of US states:

No, not really. Compared to Japan and countries in Europe the US has tons of land available. So does Canada if you don't mind living in an Ice box

They are full. We are full. Europe is full. We have no more space to squeeze in people from parts of the wworld we police and feed because they won't stand up for themselves.
Canadas gross domestic revenue gives 15% to these countries and still our airports are teaming with Economic Opportunists, ( i mean refugees ) Leave us alone. Why is it everyone wants to come to the "white" countries and then spit on us for letting them in ?Muslims and Jews leave Europe be. Leave our people alone !
