i can't give you table scraps it's a health code violation. Depending upon where we were i may be able to give you cooked food that i was going to toss out . Again according to where we were i may also be able to donate cooked food to soup kitchens or food banks. iwould find away to feed you, I may even offer you a job The only reason that i would call the cops would be if you were making a general nuisance of yourself.
BTW mcrine 1 assuming that you are right and that all homeless people are homeless through faults of their own, is going hungry an appropriate punishment for whatever sin the may have commited ? Just asking

It is against the law to let you eat the table scraps but I would be happy to seat you at a table and provide a meal for you (buffet or no buffet.) A previous restaurant manager that I used to work for did that for a homeless person on a regular basis. It was a grand gesture.

Since the food is going to be thrown out at the end of the day. I would let you come into the restuarant and say service yourself. I would also give you a job as a dish washer and find you a place to stay too. I think enough is not done for the homeless people in this city where I live and in other cities across the world.

I think that in some states it would be illegal for them to give away table scraps. I would if I could. I like people and have a heart. But what can I say, I dont exactly own a buffet.

Actually, I think since my "buffet" could be closed down for giving scraps (as it's a health violation) I'd give you some nice clothes to change into and some baby wipes to clean off with and let you through my line to sit down. Then I'd talk to you about getting a job, at my "buffet" or help find one...

Because I was homeless and only a second or two away from it again..I would feed you from the buffet table--As long as you were reasonably clean--and then, I would still get you a to go plate piled high with whatever you wanted.

If you could do a little work for me - ie: take out the trash - - You could eat from the buffet for free at the end of the night - all you wanted - when ever you chose to show up- The meal would taste better because you earned it!

that question makes me hungry, and for a second I thought you were going to ask to live in the restaurant (which is a grand idea). I don't own a restaurant, though if I was homeless, I would want to live in one, especially those chinese buffet places with angry, disgruntled china chefs yelling random things, flailing their arms.

I would let you wash dishes for a free meal but I find it hard to believe a person could be homeless beyond their control.

I'd have to tell you to beat it. If I give you scraps, and you get sick, you could hire a lawyer to work pro-bono, and sue my bum off. And if I let you in, it could drive paying customers away. Sorry if that's mean, but it's just good business sense.
