my idol/hero is my father, no one compares to him in the slightest, he's the most perfect man ive ever seen in my life, he's an excellent husband to my mom (step mother actually but to me shes just as much of my mom as my biological mom), and a wonderful father to us kids..
My biological mom left when i was 4 (im the youngest of 3 kids), she had no complaints about my dad he treated her great she was just bored in her life and wanted to go have fun with out a husband and kids to worry about... my father was a single dad with 3 kids..
My father graduated H.S. with minimum education, he went into the military, he sent his mother money every week to help support her, when he retired from the Navy he took every college course they would pay for , even interior design and my father is the most manly man u'd ever know his idea of colors are brown and green lol (needless to say my step mother helped him out with that class alot) but the point was he was willing to learn anything if the class was free.. he's a firm believer in Knowledge is power. He has since not only retired from the Navy, Retired from his Government Job and now finally retired from his contractor job, he's one of those people that doesnt know how to do anything but give everything his all and work hard for everything.. My father in his late 50's went back to school once again to get his Electrical Engineering Degree not because he had to , just cause he wanted it..
My father was one of those dads, that was very involved in my school, always to do my best, a dad that was behind the back stop when i was pitching in softball cheering me on.. My fathers never given up on me even when there where times i wanted to give up on myself..

Later in life i had a child that is chronically/terminally ill.. and every time my son has been extremely sick my father has flown to where ever i am to be by my side.. he is my rock, he is my mentor, he is everything i want to be.. he is my Idol / Hero..

My idol is Jesus Christ. He Saved from all sin and supplies for me love, joy, peace, patience...(Gal. 5:22). If you think Christ is just full of it, or you tried him out already and you felt like He let you down. Just remember That God is God. God does what ever he wants. Does that mean he is a bully! No!! He does what he wants and he wanted to die for you that he could make a way for you to be with him.
