to be honest I think it's ok just be careful about who you give your info to and try to go through a legit company. I actually met my current boyfriend online he is in the military and was overseas we talked for 6 months and now live together and are looking to get married in the spring.

You can certainly end up with mixed results. For anyone persuing a relationship over the internet, I would strongly recommend exchanging lots of pictures early in the relationship so that you can build a physical image of the other person. Also, try to have phone conversations as soon as both of you are comfortable.

Try not to build up an attachment to the person if you're not sharing pictures or having voice calls. Remind yourself that it's OK if this relationship doesn't go anywhere and that there will be someone else out there.

Heartbreak over internet relationships can be really tough. It is important to be *totally* honest with one another when establishing the relationship. I was fortunate to have found the match of my life over the internet on a Christian website where we got to know each other pretty well before meeting in person.

Hope this helps!

. in case you'll take that probability, it really is amazing that you provide the relaitonship TIME to advance first... i'd imagine that someone who's a detrimental personality would cool off in route of you after 3 or extra months in the experience that they were searching for a short sucker. Even after various months, please spend the $50 bucks to do a history verify in this man or woman. you'd be desiring their contemporary manage and birthdate, and social protection huge type would help. in the experience that they received't furnish you with this information, then some thing is very incorrect, they are not honest, and can want to have some thing to conceal, and also you do not pick to bypass there. to detect a respected history checker on line, form in backgroud checks, and seem for one which has been in organization for a minimum of a year. Do the through verify. Then if this man or woman has moved plenty, or is residing in LasVegas or different suspicious issues... do not bypass there. it really is not nicely well worth the chance. stw ;p

I know I would never do that simply because there are too many freaks out there in this world and the internet gives them the perfect oppurtunity to do their work. If you are just talking to someone that is fine, but I would not give out too many details about my personal life. If you will never meet, or see one another then it is not a relationship anyway!

I've been in this situation...liking someone over the internet, and never seeing them. It is sort of stupid, I've now came to the conclusion. Obviously, you could be falling in love with a weird pedophile...or on the other hand, you could've possibly found your soulmate. If you do date over the internet...your boy/girlfriend could cheat on you without your knowledge. I was crazy about this guy, but I let it go. He lived in England, and the chances of us were...slim. It's not a wise idea.

It might be odd if you don't talk to them much on the phone also, but by practice is it better safe than sorry. I gave my friend a carpet cutter with a safety on it so I would try maybe buying one and keeping it in your purse. Also, take a cell phone and let ppl know where you are going.

its NOT a good way to meet people........u could very very easily meet a total creep and get raped or beaten or killed
although it is true that u could meet someone really great i would do a major back-ground check and try to find some of his friends to see how that person acts, reacts and treats others ... as well as age, personality and other very necessary details

That is foolish. You don't know who they are. I wish people got to know each other face to face. That would solve a myriad of child abuse problems and many others. Hmmm. I'm starting to see that this yahoo thing is a waste of time.

I think it's fine. If you can be happy with never seeing your lover. I think you should try to meet them if possible if you are over 18.
Or if you never meet them and you are happy then that is fine, too.
