I just went there for the first time. Here's what I did.

-Parthenon-If you like art, then it's a must see. Otherwise, just go see it for like a 1/2 hour or so. But you should go. How often do you get to see a full scale replica of the Parthenon?

-The Belle Meade Mansion-TAKE THE TOUR! Definitely worth it! Take your time walking around the plantation too. Also drive around the neighborhood, there are some amazing mansions around there.

-The Hermitage-Also take the tour here. This is more of a day long thing, but such an amazing experience. It was Andrew Jackson's home. It is also him and his wife's final resting place.

-Cheekwood Botanical Gardens-Didn't get a chance to see it for myself, but did get a chance to drive by the mansion. Simply beautiful.

-Gaylord Hotel. The atriums there are amazing. The rooms there are so-so. The Cascades restaurant has some amazing food, the stuffed shrimp is to die for! The mojitos are excellent!

-Downtown Nashville. The Hard Rock was disappointing at best. Surly waitress, bad food, very limited gift shop. I've been to much better. There was a lot of restaurants with free live entertainment. I wish I would have gone there instead. Visit the Charlie Daniels Museum. Definitely do the Nash Trash tour, it'll get you acquainted with the area.

I hope this helps. Have a blast. I definitely did!

We just spent three days in Nashville (and we are not country music fans). Centennial Park (and the Parthenon) were nice. We had an excellent meal at Merchants Restaurant. We were within walking distance of Owen Bradley Park (a small park) which is in an interesting area. (If you like country music, then the whole city is yours.)

Depends on if you are seeking food, entertainment, etc. I love Tootsies and Legends for music, 101st Airborne Sunday champagne brunch.
