Am I too fussy? Are they too unfussy, lol?
And will I ever find him... and no I'm not a teenager - I'm well into the second half of my life and still haven't had that "soul mate" feel about any relationship.

They are not your soul mate, if you were you would feel the same. And whether they genuinely felt you were really their soul mate is anyone's guess. I haven't had that feeling about anyone, I have just had a few deeply disappointing boyfriends, some of whom claimed to love me, but I'm absolutely positive they didn't. You are not too fussy, you have to "click" with someone.

It's just not there for you-- perhaps because you have never felt that bond you dont know what you are looking for. 'Soul mate' is a person that you trust, confide in, the first person that you ever connected with and the one person that would always be a good listener and make time for you.

Have u never met anyone like that? It's not a question of being fussy, it just hasn't happened yet

It will though

Selski, I know nothing about you, but I am going to make a good try to answer your question.

It is not you!

I think the men are just saying that because they want to be with you. Or at least they want to be seen with you. Let me explain:

First of all, they will use whatever buzzword it takes to win your favor. Soul mate is a popular buzzword in the pop-culture today. In a few years, they will try something else, like “Oh, you look just like xxx(insert actress name here)”, or whatever. In other words, they don’t really think you are a ‘soul mate’. They are just trying to BS you.

I am guessing that you are thin and attractive. Otherwise they would not bother to do this. How do I know this? Well, I am a man, and most of my friends are men, so I know how we think. Obviously most men would rather been seen with a thin, and attractive women than to be seen with ‘Jane average’. In fact, they would rather be seen with the attractive woman, even if she has no personality, is high maintenance, etc.

Good luck, and don’t fall for their dumb lines. Hook up with the love sick fool that worships you. Not the clown that just wants all the other guys to see him with you.

BTW: Any of you guys reading this: The 'soul mate' line does not work. Try this: “Hey you look like Joline Blalok”. This is what Joline Blalock looks like:

Sorry, I had to add that last comment, just for fun!
