I've seen hundreds of fansites devoted to her alleged hotness. Maybe it's because I'm a girl, but I don't really see it. She looks too masculine to me.
Not ragging on her--I love Sam's character, and Amanda is a great actress. This was just a random thought I had while watching reruns of the last season :)

To tell you the truth, she's cute enough, but I always thought Janet Fraser (Teryl Rothery) was better looking, then again, I've always been a sucker for redheads.

Sam's beauty isn't so much in her body, it's her eyes, her brain, and her personality. Amanda Tapping is also a very intelligent woman, which is what enables her to carry off the character so well. I won't say she's the most gorgeous woman ever on SG-1, but she is definitely attractive.

Well, I wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating sardines and crackers! I prefer Torii Hunter on Atlantis, though.

Yes is a very down to earth way she is pretty. I think women are more attractive buffed than soft & flabby.
