For information sake, wiccanism and paganism was created before christianity was, so how is it devils work? Why do people basically think that people who practice Witchcraft are crazy and need to go to hell? wiccanism and paganism are just like any other religion. I am a wiccan and what i say to the people who tell me i'm going to burn in hell is this, "How come i haven't? i've been reincarnated for the past 3000 years and haven't been there once." i also say,"Going to hell am i? Well then, this is going to be fun! I can't wait!" But thats just the way I am.

As a matter of fact they do.
And just to let you know, it's called Wicca, but yes, you're right, the religions they kinda refer to were created before Christianity.
The problem is that the word "witchcraft" was really made-up by the Church to discourage people from being Celts, etc. So technically, since they invented it, it IS what they call it.
And Wiccan is another made up term. It was created by Gerald Gardner, around the eighties, based on a doctor's work. A doctor who claimed part of the confessions during the Burning Times were factual, which is really a hard thing to proof and a rather wistful thought. But in this case, the word is what the creator, Gardner, called it, so Wicca is NOT the devil's work.
I personally prefer much better to be called witch since Wicca is so over-advertised and made SOOOO domestic.
So now that I've said that, they are against wiccans and pagans because they don't want they're religion to die, because they just don't and they know occultism is so much more appealing and they know it could easily replace every religion if everyone gave it a chance. And yes, they thing it's the devil's work, because that's what their churchs has led them to believe.

They say these things about us out of fear. Think what the truth of our religion means to the Church. The last thing they want is for witches to gain power over the people. Who knows, maybe Jesus was a witch. Did he not state in the Bible that he was the rocks, the water and all that stuff? I'd better watch my back. I can almost hear the Christians out there stacking the hay around my burning stake.
Oh and for all those quoting the Bible about Witches, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live," was added by one of the Kings in England. Not by God. Doesn't that make you wonder what the real message is supposed to be. To me the Bible is like that game you played as children where one would whisper a phrase into someone's ear and then it would get passed on to the next all the way to the end. And when it gets to the end the message is completely different. Think for yourselves.

A large majority of people, especially in the West, are ignorant and have no idea about the real world. Others are brainwashed by doctrinal churches or formated by an education system that is still dominated by Judeo-Christian ideology.
But there are more Pagans these days than ever before, and that is very encouraging. I am a Druid, and I know that we are doing the right thing by keeping strong and true to our traditions. BB /|\

Let us hold our athames high, kindred spirit! The word athame comes from the latin word "thelema" which means will. If I choose to bend my future through my will, then that is nothing different than a mother praying that her son becomes well again. Magick is focused, specific PRAYER. The Christians do not see this, they do not want to understand it; they do not want to come anywhere close to the devil's work, for it may just be contagious! I don't even believe in satan.
The more organized the religion, the more corrupt it becomes. "They" seek to have power over their "flock," giving "them" the power to delineate which is "right" and which is "wrong." without this power-over situation, they'd hold no say so as to how people behave. This is why the bible has been tampered with eversomuch. Without law, chaos runs rampant. Maybe some of these people genuinely believe that they are trying to help. People have a mistrust for people who know something of the mystical teachings. Their fear breeds hatred. And anyway, let them believe what they need to believe, they will anyway. They don't want to own the power for themselves. They have been told for years that they haven't any, that God is the only one with the power....power comes from within, and god does lie within each and every one of us, whether we choose to embrace it or ignore it. I think a lot of Christians seek because they feel that they themselves aren't powerful enough to gain that which they desire- but to quote Doreen Valiente, "If that which you seek, you find not within, you shall never find without."

it's fear and miseducation... or just plain ignorance. Some people will blindly believe anything an everything about something they do not understand. And it is for the simple reason that some preligions preach that you are not to ask questions regardless of how ludicrous it may seem.
People ont he outside seem to think "well, if they don't think and worship like me they are wrong and worshipping the devil... they aren't bible-humping followers of theis Christ fellow, they must be following the devil." Unfortunately for them... how do we worship something we don't believe in... there is no hell. Satan is a construct thought up by christanity to scare all the sheep into submission.
We're here to utilize the energies of nature and the universe to foster the greater good of all and to learnt he lessons our soul is meant to learn... Too bad some folks are too closed-minded to allow a little tolerance for those of us not of like mind to them.

Like the christians have pushed there believes in a violent way on other cultures and religions, they also did it with wicca. In that way they got more power. Nature religions where a danger to the power of the church.
The easy way to do it was to make wiccans 'the enemy'. Make people believe wiccans are dangerous, because if you create fear against them you get far more power.

People are always afraid of the unknown. During the first few centuries of christanity, the christians put down paganism as devil worship and that has carried on till this day.

To answer you question historically, one of the greatest rivals Christianity faced througout its development was traditional practicies/nature religions like as wiccanism and such. It's general approach (right or wrong) was to cast all such practices as ways of worshiping the Devil to steer rank and file Christians away from it and back to church. So we still have all that imagery left over and fundamentalists still react very strongly to such things.

Because witchcraft is associated with being bad and so is the devil. Just wondering, if you were reincarnated, what were you before you were human? And you must be sick if you think burning in a pit for eternity will be fun.

God is very mush against witchcraft and it is the devils work. Here is what Holy Bible says about witchcraft. 1Sa:15:23: For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
2Ki:9:22: And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?
2Ch:33:6: And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
Mic:5:12: And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
Na:3:4: Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
