I have Dreamweaver and I'd like to make a nice, simple blog and put it on my website. I don't want to get one where the url name has "blogpspot.com" attached to it or something of the sort. Is there a simple instructional site that will show me how to make my own blog and paste it onto my own website?

You can publish a Blogger blog directly to your site. You can also customize the template.

To learn how to publish a Blogger blog directly on your Web site:

To learn how to "skin" a Blogger blog with a template of your own choosing / design:

Alternatively, if you have PHP and MySQL on your host, you can use WordPress:

http://wordpress.org

That, too, can be skinned, but not as easily as Blogger blogs can; it's also harder to administer.

·A blog is an online diary where people share their thoughts and daily activities. Due to the easy availability of online publishing tools, even an average internet user can start a blog.

Blogger,
LiveJournal,
Xanga,
Typepad

these are some free blog hosts with template and design tools , more details available at-

i understand you dont like the blogspot.com but blogger has a feature where you can switch to ftp mode and the publishing will be on your ISP (and wont need the blogspot.com domain but yournamehere.com) it'll take you about 20mins to set it up, not that hard. check this out: http://help.blogger.com/bin/topic.py?topic=19
its got help topics so you have nothing to worry about
