Every woman is different and of different ages, as the signs are not the same for a young woman on her first periods as it would be for a middle age woman on her period.

The younger you are, the more likely it is to get cramps two or three days before you start bleeding. (That's how it was with me). As I grew older, those signs changed into sore breasts and water retention. I may have cramps once in a very blue moon, but they're infrequent.

As far as mood swings (PMS), it depends on the woman. Some women don't have mood swings, some woman have it about three out of every four weeks, and others usually around the week before.

With that said, many women are naturally royal b*tches, and they find it extremely convenient to blame it on PMS. Not every woman suffers from PMS, and PMS isn't as common as some of them would have you believe (especially in the workplace).

Talking about double-standards. LOL

In this order, if you have them in your life:
1. Mom
2. Grandmother
3. Older Sister
4. Aunt
5. School Nurse

You need to talk to another female.

Hm..

You could tell your mom, but if you don't have one like me, you could tell your older sister. If she hasn't had hers or something, then I'm sure you have a woman or older teenage girl that you know pretty well next to your house and you could go over, ring their doorbell and they could give you something to use.

But since I don't have a mom, I always go to Wal-Mart or something like that with my friends, or with my friends and their mothers and have them or their mom help me. But, I suggest ask their mother incase your friend hasn't started.

Usually your mom. Or an older sister or someone like that.

How old are you? If its your first, definitely tell your mom.
